Entrepreneurs praised for contributions

Chinese entrepreneurs have made great contributions to both the world economy and China's reform and opening-up, said Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in his congratulatory letter to the 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention in Bangkok on Sunday.
China's modernization process will provide opportunities to entrepreneurs, serving as a platform for them to bring new vitality to the world economy, Wang noted in the letter read out by Chen Xu, director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
As changes of the times are combined with the once-in-a-century pandemic, he said the world finds itself in a new period of turbulence and transformation. "People are calling for joint development, and Chinese entrepreneurs should be gathered to contribute their wisdom to world development," he said.
