Aircraft carrier to make rare port call in Danang
The United States' nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan was scheduled to stop at central Vietnam's port city of Danang on Sunday in a rare visit. The ship was expected to stay there until June 30, a Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said. The visit of the USS Ronald Reagan is only the third for a US aircraft carrier since the end of the Vietnam War in 1975.

Ukraine missiles hit vital bridge in Crimea
Ukrainian missiles on Thursday struck an important bridge in the Crimea Peninsula, local officials said, threatening a key supply route to Russian forces in Kherson. Vladimir Saldo, head of the region, released a video of himself on the Chonhar bridge. He said the bridge was hit by missiles supplied by Britain, and vowed to repair the bridge and restore traffic. Ukraine did not claim responsibility for the attack.

Bolsonaro faces ban over poll remarks
Ex-president Jair Bolsonaro faced an eight-year ban on running for office as Brazil's top electoral court began trying the right-wing leader on Thursday over his unproven allegations against the voting system during last year's elections. Bolsonaro, 68, was not in court as the Superior Electoral Tribunal opened his trial.
