EU adheres to one-China policy, says European Council president

PARIS -- The European Union (EU) adheres to the one-China policy and has no intention to contain China's development, said President of the European Council Charles Michel on Thursday.
The EU opposes a "new Cold War" and the act of taking sides, he said during a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the sidelines of the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact.
