Blast inflicts casualties in Afghanistan's Faizabad city

FAIZABAD, Afghanistan - A bomb blast that rocked on Tuesday Faizabad city, the provincial capital of Afghanistan's northern Badakhshan province, inflicted casualties, provincial director for information and culture Qari Maazudin Ahmadi said.

The blast occurred at 08:15 am local time in Faizabad city when the car of deputy provincial governor Mawlawi Nisar Ahmad Ahamdi was passing by, Ahmadi said, adding the blast caused casualties.

Without providing more details, Ahmadi said that investigation was underway, and details would be shared with media after completion of investigation.
