RCEP Forum to kick off in Huangshan city

The 2023 RCEP Local Government and Friendship Cities Cooperation (Huangshan) Forum is set to take place in Tunxi district in Huangshan city of Anhui province from June 9 to 10.

Themed "Regional Cooperation for a Win-Win Future", the forum will include various activities such as a keynote report, a roundtable dialogue involving RCEP member cities, a Life and Health Sub-Forum, as well as cultural and tourism exhibitions.

The Life and Health Sub-forum will focus on deepening cooperation among RCEP member countries in the areas of life and health.

Top minds, including leaders of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, heads of relevant departments of Anhui government, experts and academicians, and representatives of associations of RCEP member countries, will come together to promote cooperation and communication among local governments and enhance the synergistic development of the health industry.

The RCEP is a substantial trading pact between Asia-Pacific countries which includes China and many of its neighboring countries. The agreement came into effect at the beginning of 2022 and is expected to significantly reduce or eliminate tariffs amongst members.
