Chinese accordion brand goes global


Located in Zhongwang town, Jinghai district of Tianjin, Tianjin Parrot Musical Instruments Co Ltd is a "Chinese time-honored enterprise" with 71 years of accordion making history. In the 1950s, its predecessor Tianjin Musical Instrument Factory produced the first accordion of the People's Republic of China, with the brand "YINGWU or Parrot". Later, the Parrot accordions produced here became famous at home and abroad.
According to the company, the complete production cycle of an accordion is three months, after wood cutting, polishing, assembly, tuning and other steps. In recent years, the time-honored enterprise in this town has carried out technological innovation and product research and development constantly, and cooperated with foreign brands. In 2018, it acquired Italy's Bugari and 07, two accordion brands, and in 2019, it launched the Emily accordion.
