Team China wins 13th Sudirman Cup

Team China started its Sudirman Cup journey in Suzhou with a perfect group stage performance beating Egypt, Singapore and Denmark 5-0. As the leader of Group A, Team China triumphed over their first knockout stage rival Indonesia 3-0 on Friday.

The Chinese squad faced its toughest test on Saturday when it went through a seven-hour semi-final fight to beat Japan 3-2 after an epic comeback.

"On Saturday, our teammates tried their best to save the game at the semifinal. So today, we just told ourselves to believe in ourselves and bring the victory back at the final," Chinese mixed doubles player Huang said.
