Media tour in Xinjiang begins

A media tour in Xinjiang kicked off with a launching ceremony in Urumqi, the regional capital. Roughly 100 journalists from mainstream media outlets in China are participating in the tour, which will take them to various areas, including Ili and Hotan, to introduce them to the region's economic development, ethnic unity, ecological protection and rural vitalization efforts.
