A Bokh elite contest was successfully held in the Ejin Horoo Banner of Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Wednesday.
Bokh, or Mongolian-style of wrestling, is a traditional sport whose history spans nearly 2,000 years. In 2006, it was included on the national intangible cultural heritage list.
The contest attracted 512 wrestlers across Inner Mongolia to compete. Organized by the government of Ejin Horoo Banner and the management committee of Genghis Khan's Mausoleum Scenic Area, the contest aimed to show the charm of the traditional sport.
