There were 11 routes weekly in 2022 for a total of 117,000 twenty-foot equivalent units of containers — up 34 percent year-on-year.

Over the last eight years, the Pingtan Immigration Inspection Station has served 50,000 people in trade and other exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. The self-service information collection and filing service has saved 15 minutes of customs clearance time for each individual.
