Remains found in Lake Mead identified as Las Vegas man

Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States, suffered a severe drought and dried out in 2022, and people have found human remains in the bottom of the lake since last May. One set of the remains was identified as Claude Russell Pensinger, a Las Vegas resident who was 52 when he disappeared in July 1998. The cause of death has not been determined, The Associated Press reported Wednesday.
