Art competition scouts for future curators and educators

The Central Academy of Fine Arts initiated the first virtual curatorial competition last year, which was well received among art schools around the world and drew more than 1,100 competitors.
It recently launched the second edition of this contest, designed for undergraduates, and welcomed people interested in art curating to apply for it and submit their curatorial ideas by visiting the competition’s official website, vlam.cafa.edu.cn, before May 21.
There are four categories for applicants to choose from: to curate an exhibition of fine arts for a virtual venue, curate a show about design, design an exhibition for the second floor venue at CAFA’s art museum, or curate a show of works recommended by Art Nova 100 - a platform of youth art. With supports from major museums at home, CAFA has organized the exhibition to inspire a new generations of art curators and educators.
