Ten passenger buses made by a leading Chinese manufacturer, Yutong Group Co, were delivered to Kazakhstan earlier this month, fulfilling part of that country's order for 150 buses.

Headquartered in Zhengzhou, Henan province, the company is a large-scale industrial group mainly specializing in the bus business. It also covers some other businesses involving automotive parts and components.

Vehicles made by the company went to work serving China's public transport needs in 2005. Since then, more than 4,300 large and medium-size buses have been delivered to Kazakhstan, the company said.

In cooperation with a local partner, Yutong established a plant in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, that can produce about 1,200 passenger buses and 500 construction machines each year.

The company also registered a subsidiary in Alma-Ata and a warehouse for auto parts. It built an after-sales service network covering the entire country, which can provide services 24 hours a day.

"Kazakhstan is an important country for cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and we will continue to deepen our cooperation in the future," a Yutong executive said.
