Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed two new ambassadors following a decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement from China's top legislature on Friday.
Wang Yajun was appointed ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, replacing Li Jinjun.
Wu Jianghao was appointed ambassador to Japan, replacing Kong Xuanyou.
