Financial disaster is brewing in the US housing market, as 20 percent of homes in the US are overpriced due to climate and flood risks, CNBC reported Thursday, citing Dave Burt, CEO of investment research firm DeltaTerra Capital. He warned that if the trend continued, the eventual collapse in housing prices could be on a scale similar to the 2008 property market crash.
