Carbon neutrality expo to be held in Shanghai


A carbon neutrality expo extensively exhibiting technologies, products and achievements on carbon neutrality will be held in Shanghai from June 11 through June 14 at the city's National Exhibition and Convention Center, according to official sources.
Focusing on "the path towards carbon neutrality", the event focuses on promoting and introducing green and low carbon technologies, products and achievements. Aiming to form a platform for all parties in the carbon neutrality to exchange and communicate, the event looks to promote the green and low carbon transition in economy and social development, said Chen Shiyan, deputy director of the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission during a news conference on Friday.
Taking up about 100,000 square meters exhibition area, the carbon neutrality expo will host a series of themed exhibitions, trade matchmaking activities and summit forums. It is expected to attract more than 600 exhibitors at home and abroad as well as receive 100,000 visitors, said Zhou Minhao, chairman of the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
"The Shanghai carbon neutrality expo will adopt various technologies and methodologies to minimize its carbon emission, making the event a benchmark zero carbon exhibition in China," said Zhou.
