US tech industry cut 100K jobs within 3 months, following 200K last year

Meta announced Tuesday that it will lay off another 10,000 workers over the coming two months and will scrap about 5,000 job openings.
Driven by tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, technology companies have laid off nearly 300,000 people worldwide since the start of 2022, with more than 200,000 layoffs in the US alone.
So far this year, in less than three months, nearly 100,000 jobs have been cut in the US tech sector.
