One year after the successful hosting of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Jilin province, one of the top ski destinations in China, is seeing a boom in the ice and snow industry.

The province is well known for its powdery snow, which lasts throughout the winter thanks to consistent frigid temperatures. It attracts many ski enthusiasts from around the world.

The huge market potential has also attracted the interest of many overseas professionals. At the Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin city, Jilin province, several foreign ski instructors teach snowboarding techniques.

"I came to Jilin from Canada in 2018 and became a snowboard coach at Beidahu," said Max Blouin. "I've seen the great changes in recent years. And I know in the next three to five years there will be more changes. That's the reason I'm here."
