Time-lapse photographer masters the narcissus

A breathtaking time-lapse video that captures narcissus flowers blooming went viral online recently.
Chongqing photographer He Yi said there are few time-lapse videos of the flowers blooming online because their stems shake drastically in the process — a huge difficulty for photographers.
"It is a test of timing, energy, patience and technique," she said, adding that she learned from previous failures in shooting the narcissus over the past few years, and finally succeeded.
With this video she is confident she will have a collection for the top 10 famous flowers in China in the near future.
In her spare time, she loves to grow flowers at home in the city's Yubei district, and feels a personal connection with them.
She picked up the hobby of photographing flowers in 2017.
Last month, her time-lapse video recording 12 types of flowers blooming— one each month over a year's time — attracted many likes and comments online.
She has shot more than a million pictures of 100 types of flowers.
