UK sees biggest strike day for a decade

The largest round of nationwide strikes for several years hit the United Kingdom on Wednesday, as teachers, rail workers, and civil servants hit the streets to demand better pay and conditions. According to national education unions, more than 300,000 teachers in 24,000 schools and colleges took part in mass strikes across England, Wales, and Scotland;
