Protesters call for justice after fatal police beating of Tyre Nichols

Protests have broken out in several cities after the release of a video showing the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols by police in Memphis, Tennessee. The video shows Nichols, who is black, being assaulted by several black officers as he cried out for his mother. Nichols was taken to a hospital with severe injuries and was pronounced dead by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Jan 10. Six officers involved were fired for investigation, and five of them face charges, including misconduct, second-degree murder and other charges, some reports said.
