Nearly 100 whooper swans are spending winter in the Gahai Wetland in Luqu county of Gansu province. They are expected to fly north at the end of March.
The wetland, located in Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture, provides a winter haven for birds with its stable water level and abundant food.
Each year, about 25,000 to 30,000 birds come to roost and breed.
