Wang Jianfeng, a police officer working at Baoding Railway Station in Baoding, Hebei province, has been pretty busy since the start of the Spring Festival travel rush earlier this month.

Every day, he walks more than 15,000 steps at the station, ensuring passengers' safety and providing help to people in need.

"To ensure the smooth return of passengers, we have strengthened the security work at the station's entrance and other key areas," he said, adding that since the travel rush began on Jan 7, the station has been receiving about 6,000 passengers per day, many more than last year.

"I only hope every passenger will arrive at their destinations safely," he said.
