National political advisors aim to improve livelihoods


CPPCC members contribute wisdom to improve people's livelihoods
In the past five years, efforts have been made by national political advisors in the social and legal affairs sector to advance the country's progress in improving people's livelihoods.
The Committee on Social and Legal Affairs under the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top political advisory body, held a briefing in Beijing on Wednesday.
Five members from the committee attended the meeting to introduce the committee's work in the areas of improving people's livelihood, building the rule of law and social governance.
They contributed their wisdom to solve problems focusing on the people's urgent needs, including the construction of the pension security system, protection of the rights and interests of minors, and delivery men.
Over the past five years, various means including conducting surveys and consultation meetings were adopted by the committee to provide suggestion for the decision making of the country.
Their suggestions were adopted in 45 laws, regulations and other documents.
