Chairman of CPPCC's Qingdao committee under investigation
Ji Binchang, chairman of the Qingdao Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in East China's Shandong province, has been placed under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation, according to the country's top anti-graft watchdogs.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision issued a statement on Friday, saying that Ji is suspected of seriously violating Party disciplines and national laws and is under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the CCDI and NCS.
Ji, 59, is a native of Changyi, Shandong. He joined the Party in 1985 and began working in 1986.
He became vice-governor of Shandong in June 2020 and was elected chairman of the CPPCC Qingdao Committee in April 2022.
