Readers: West's criticism of China's COVID response political, unfounded
Editor's note: After China made adjustments to further optimize its COVID response, some Western media and politicians launched a new round of criticism, claiming that the country's dynamic clearing policy has been a "failure", even describing the recent surge in infections as a "crisis". How do people feel about China's response to COVID-19 over the past three years? Readers share their opinions.
As a foreigner from the European Union living in China for some years, I have to say that the zero-Covid policy of China is lifesaving. Every family in Europe has mourned a senior member dying from the pandemic. Too many deaths because they don't won't to take these measures. These measures are expensive for the government but lifesaving. All citizens should know that and follow the rules. Without these rules your fathers and mothers will be in great danger. Nobody in the West is in a position to criticize China , especially after their huge death numbers.
