Marco Rubio should read before opening his mouth
On Jan 3, US Senator Marco Rubio published an article on The American Conservative magazine headlined "My Plan for American Renewal", which, after listing his plans, suddenly turned to pouring blames against Marxism by calling US schools "a cesspool of Marxist indoctrination".
One can bet that Rubio has little knowledge about Marxism he was blaming, as evidenced by the fact that no word of Marxism except "Marxism" itself appeared in his article. He does not know the concepts such as surplus value or alienation of human, yet he was talking about the ism that takes these as basic concepts.
This was spotted by his readers who wrote in the comment section. While someone asked "Does this idiot even know who Marx was?", some other said "What's wrong with genuine Marxism? If you asked Rubio and many other Americans, all they would say is that they hate it but have never even read anything Marx wrote."
The comments are accurate as Rubio just needs a target to hit, and Marxism, like China, is among the pool of key words that often fall prey to their bad mouths.
For too long, blaming China and anything related with it has been political correctness in the US, and communism as a naturally viewed enemy of the US' ideology has fallen prey to them, too. Yet they don't need to know about China or communism to blame it; There would be little difference if the two words are replaced with any other two.
Who can believe such illogical deeds are committed by a member of the US' top legislature?
As early as June 2021, the same Rubio tweeted that "Marxism is the Single Most Evil and Destructive Ideology that Mankind has Ever Known", which earned him a pile of criticisms for his ignorance and lack of common sense. Now by repeating the mistake, Rubio shows the whole world he has learned little from his past wrongs.
Next time Rubio better read a few books before talking about something, which is an effective way to avoid becoming a laughing stock.
