The office of the inter-ministerial joint conference on the coordination and supervision of new forms of transport conducted a regulatory talk with 15 major platforms of new forms of transport, on Friday, urging them to ensure passenger flow and the transport of medical and livelihood materials during the travel rush in the upcoming Spring Festival.

The office urged the platforms to organize and deploy sufficient and qualified transport capacities to ensure uninterrupted passenger services and a continuous supply of materials, and make every effort to meet the needs of medical and daily supplies transportation.

It said that the platforms should implement relevant requirements on epidemic prevention and control in the transportation industry, improve emergency plans and handling measures in a targeted manner, and reserve and timely dispatch backup transport capacities.

The office said that some platforms still do not fully implement their responsibilities, and have problems such as arbitrary adjustment of operation rules, infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of employees and passengers, and hidden security and stability risks, which affect the healthy development of the new transport business.

The platforms should improve the benefit distribution mechanism for employees, effectively guarantee reasonable labor remuneration and rest time for employees, improve service capabilities, and ensure that consumers' complaints and help are quickly responded to and effectively dealt with.

The office also asked the platforms to further strengthen safety hazard detection and safety training for employees, focus on improving skills to handle extreme weather and emergencies, strengthen operation safety management, and effectively guarantee the personal safety of passengers.
