Large fever clinic opens in Foshan convention center

A large clinic was launched inside a convention and exhibition center in Foshan, Guangdong province, on Thursday to facilitate treatment of people with fever.

Medical workers are being sent by a number of hospitals to the new clinic in the Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center, which initially allocated 10 rooms for both adult and minor patients and offers 24-hour services.

Previously, hospitals and community health centers opened 108 fever clinics or fever rooms, and 334 community health stations have also set up such rooms in Foshan, the city's health bureau announced.

The demand for medical services has surged as COVID-19 infections have expanded in the city.
