Three provinces unveil new Party chiefs
New Party chiefs for three provinces were unveiled on Wednesday, reported the Xinhua News Agency.
The CPC Central Committee has recently decided that Yuan Jiajun will no longer concurrently serve as secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, appointing Yi Lianhong to serve as the position instead, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Yuan, 60, a native of Jilin province, became the Party chief of Zhejiang in August 2020. Now, he is a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau.
Before Yi came to Zhejiang, the 63-year-old native from Hunan province had served as secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee.
Under the decision, Yin Hong has replaced Yi as the Party chief of Jiangxi, and Hu Changsheng has replaced Yin as secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee, Xinhua said.
Yin, 59, from Zhejiang, began his first job in Shanghai in 1985, and in the following 30 years, he had various work posts in the metropolis. Before he came to Jiangxi, he had served as Party chief of Gansu.
Hu, 59, from Jiangxi, had worked in Sichuan province for about 30 years. Before the new position in Gansu, he served as deputy secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee.
A few days ago, three other provinces — Liaoning, Shaanxi and Fujian — have also had their new Party chiefs.
