The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board has amended the procedure for issuing e-passports of self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment, as well as the procedure for forming and maintaining a unified register of authorized bodies (organizations) and vehicle manufacturers issuing e-passports of self-propelled vehicles, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The opportunity to issue e-passports by manufacturers of certain types of self-propelled vehicles not regulated by the Union technical regulations and not intended for use on public roads (ramp vehicles, self-propelled forest mulchers, snow groomers and off-road heavy motor trucks) in the absence of a mandatory conformity assessment document has been extended until December 31, 2023.
The amendments were prepared by the Commission based on the proposals submitted by the EAEU Member States and are aimed at addressing issues of filling in e-passports of certain types of self-propelled vehicles, prior to their inclusion in the scope of the Technical Regulation "On Safety of Machinery and Equipment".
The decision shall come into effect after 30 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication.
