The FIFA World Cup 2022, which kicked off on Nov 20 in Qatar, has seen Chinese companies make great contributions to this globally watched sporting event.

Most of the tournament's stadiums, power stations, its official transportation system and its accommodations feature contributions from Chinese builders and providers.

The spectacular 800-megawatt AI Kharsaah photovoltaic power station, Qatar's first solar power plant, was independently constructed by POWER CHINA Guizhou Engineering Co. and will significantly increase the share of renewable energy in energy consumption and support Qatar's commitment to hosting a "carbon-neutral "World Cup, according to the company.
