Hebei officials demand improved testing spots
Top officials in North China's Hebei province demanded scientific designation of high-risk areas and an improved layout for nucleic acid testing spots, in efforts to scientifically and accurately do the work of epidemic prevention and control, according to a meeting held on Friday morning in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei.
Ni Yuefeng, secretary of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, presided the meeting attended by top officials of the province and made a speech, local media Hebei Daily reported.
The province will further detail measures on COVID-19 prevention and control as it suffers a new round of epidemic with its capital city Shijiazhuang being hit the hardest.
They required related departments to accurately determinate close contacts with infected people and improve measures to curb infections on campuses. A university in Shijiazhuang has suffered infections since earlier this month.
The province recorded two confirmed cases and 326 asymptomatic carriers on Thursday, most of whom were in Shijiazhuang, according to the Health Commission of Hebei.
