Beijing reported more COVID-19 infections at the community level, with the number of high- and medium- risk areas growing in the capital this week.
According to data released on Sunday morning, Beijing recorded 43 confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and six asymptomatic cases on Saturday, among whom five were detected at the community level.
Beijing has reported several infection clusters involving dozens of cases in colleges and families in recent days, according to the Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
The center reminded the public that people who are self-quarantined at home should reduce the contact with other members who live together in order to cut infection risks.
