Former Beijing official charged with bribery
A public prosecution has been initiated against Beijing's former official Yu Luming over suspected bribe-taking, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Yu was formerly the vice-chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former director of the Beijing Health Commission.
The Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Procuratorate in North China's Hebei province recently filed a case with the Intermediate People's Court of Zhangjiakou, the report said on Sunday.
The case come following the conclusion of an investigation by the National Supervisory Commission into Yu's case.
Previously, Yu had also served as vice-chairman of the first Committee of Beijing Daxing district of the CPPCC, head of the health bureau of Daxing district, deputy head of Daxing district's government, deputy head and head of Beijing Hospital Administration Bureau, and deputy head of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning.
The procuratorate charged Yu with taking advantage of his official positions to seek gains for others and illegally accepting huge amount of bribes in money and valuables in return.
It said Yu should be held criminally responsible for committing the crimes of bribe-taking.
