China's top TV drama award unveils nominations

Flying Apsaras Award, China's major award to honor excellent TV dramas, unveiled its 46 nominated entries for the 33rd edition on Thursday, according to China Television Arts Commission.

As one of the top front-runners, actor Wang Kai has seen four of his dramas, Serenade of Peaceful Joy, Like a Flowing River 2, Hunting and Faith Makes Great, all listed in the nominations.

Some of the most popular TV series within the past two years, such as I Will Find You a Better Home and The Age of Awakening, have also been nominated.

At the same news conference held in Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, the 27th TV Art Starlight Award also announced its 69 nominated works, including the 2021 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, which drew 1.14 billion viewers.

The two awards presenting ceremonies will be held in the Shougang Park in Beijing's Shijingshan district on Nov 1.
