Delegate explains Guangxi modernization

Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will work on five aspects to develop itself into a model of modernization, a senior Party and government official said at a media conference in Beijing on Wednesday.

The autonomous region will accurately and comprehensively implement a new development concept, as well as vigorously promote industrial, rural and science and education vitalization, said Sun Daguang, head of the Publicity Department of the Guangxi Committee of the Communist Party of China and a delegate to the 20th CPC National Congress.

It will focus on improving people's livelihood and social undertakings and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system to promote common prosperity.

Guangxi will also expand opening up and cooperation in a well-rounded way by fully working with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Hainan Free Trade Port, and actively serve the development of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

Moreover, it will promote the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development; accelerate the construction of superb ecological civilization, cultural and tourism areas; while speeding up the modernization of the governance system and capacity to consolidate national, social and border stability.
