Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged the private sector and local companies to invest in projects contributing to magnifying the added value of black sand in light of the great reserves which Egypt has and the growing international demand on these products which are part of several industries.

He made the remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of a complex of factories of the Egyptian Black Sand Company in Kafr el Sheikh.

He called on the bodies concerned to offer needed data for all to be able to invest in this promising domain.

He said the private sector companies that have contributed to this project are local firms and they gained a good experience in this domain.

He noted that 60 per cent of the project’s needs were locally made.

The state has long awaited for this project over the past three years, the president said.

Sisi was also keen to stand on all precautionary measures taken to ensure workers’ safety.
