The Forever Walk China, a 10-episode documentary series about National Geographic explorer Paul Salopek's trek across China, will premiere on October 18.

The US writer started his journey in September 2021 in China's Yunnan province and he planned to make his way through a host of municipalities and provinces including Sichuan, Shaanxi to Heilongjiang in the north.

Along the way, he learned about the different cultures in these places and China's achievements in ecology, wildlife protection and cultural inheritance.

Co-produced by National Geographic and the Shanghai Media Group's Documentary Center, new episodes of the documentary will be broadcast on Shanghai Dragon TV at 22:00 every Tuesday starting on Oct 18. The show will also be available on National Geographic channels in over 170 countries and regions.
