Hangzhou Marathon goes live in November
The 2022 Hangzhou Marathon will kick off, in person, on Nov 20 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, organizers announced on Wednesday, marking the return of the live event after it was moved online last year because of COVID-19.
The 35-year-old event will include a full marathon, a half-marathon, a mini marathon, a couples run, a family run and a healthy run.
All the races will start from the city's Huanglong Sports Center, with runners of the full marathon expected to finish at the main stadium of the upcoming 19th Asian Games, nicknamed the "Big Lotus", within the Hangzhou Olympic and International Expo Center.
Runners who registered for the 2021 edition will be eligible to participate in the upcoming event, according to organizers, and no new registrations will be allowed.
The Hangzhou Marathon, known for having one of the most beautiful race courses in China, was launched in 1987 and is the second-oldest marathon in the country.
