Internet technology has further promoted the work of public security services and has improved processing efficiency, an official with the Ministry of Public Security said on Friday.

Based on the national public security integrated government affairs service platform, public security organs at all levels had launched about 32,000 online services by the end of July, and about 11,000 of them can be completed online, according to the ministry.

By promoting data sharing and the application of electronic certificates and licenses, local public security organs have reduced the number of required materials by 62 percent on average for related services, said Liu Mingfang, who heads the leading group of the ministry's office of Internet Public Security Government Affairs Services, at a news conference held on Friday.

Through online and offline processing and cooperation among various departments, the service processing times have been cut in half on average, Liu said.

To effectively solve problems faced by enterprises or individuals, such as the submission of too many materials and having to run back and forth to local service centers, public security organs have continued to optimize the public security government service mechanism and processing procedures to improve efficiency, he said.

"The improved services cover all aspects of life and work, and services are more adequate. Enterprises and individuals can enjoy 'one-stop' services," Liu said.

The online services of public security government affairs are also accessible on mobile channels such as the mini-programs on Alipay or WeChat, according to the ministry.
