Foreign students learn acrobatics online
A total of 45 students from Laos and Cambodia recently started learning acrobatics via online classes given by teachers from Cangzhou, Hebei province.
The classes began on Aug 8 and will last for three months, Hebei Wuqiao Acrobatic Art School said.
The training classes, organized by the training center of the Ministry of Commerce, have been held annually since 2002.
It was mainly set up for students from developing countries, aiming to promote exchanges in acrobatics at home and abroad, said Duan Yong, head of the school's international exchange department.
"We have trained more than 500 students from over 40 countries in the past two decades," Duan said.
He added that before last year, the students came to China and attended classes in Cangzhou's Wuqiao county, where the school is located. Influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, the classes were taught online starting last year.
