Military drills continue off Taiwan coast

The Eastern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army continued its live-fire military drills in the waters and airspace around the Chinese island of Taiwan on Friday, the theater command said in a statement.

The exercises took place off the island's northern, southwestern, and eastern regions and were conducted in accordance with existing plans, with the aim of testing the command's joint combat capability.
