Accor Live Limitless, the lifestyle loyalty program for hospitality group Accor, announced its ALL China Member Benefit Upgrade Program with a new range of features. Many of the on-property privileges-such as reserved floors for Elite member accommodations and exclusive breakfast areas-are being offered for the first time in China and go well beyond what traditional loyalty programs provide.

NEW OPENINGS

Wanda Yue, Wudang Mountain Yin Xi opened in Shiyan, Hubei province in Central China, in early July. Just some 300 meters away from the tourist service center of the Wudang Mountain scenic area, which has long been famed as a Taoist shrine since ancient times and is believed to be the origin of tai chi chuan, the new hotel embraces the culture of Taoism, integrating the religion's philosophy into its design, service and operation, its executives said.

AKI Hong Kong-MGallery has opened its doors in the vibrant multicultural district of Wanchai this summer. The second MGallery Hotel Collection venue in Hong Kong will bring a singular story of the MGallery aesthetic to visitors to and residents of Hong Kong with its stylish, smart living design, on-trend dining concepts, and thoughtful opportunities for wellness and self-care rituals woven throughout the guest journey, according to the hotel.

CULTURAL FEAST

Wanda Reign Wuhan recently presented a feast for both the eyes and the palate. In the luxury hotel in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, six antiques were displayed that reflect the Chu culture while its staff members dressed in ancient-style costumes and served 14 dishes crafted by expert chefs on the gala night. Hubei is where the Chu state was situated during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and Warring States Period (475-221 BC). The hotel pays attention to cultural preservation and promotion, hoping to bring a cultural banquet to guests, said its general manager Zhou Tao.

SPICY FLAVOR

Invited by Shangri-La Dalian in Northeast China's Liaoning province, Du Fei, executive chef of Shangri-La Jinan in Shandong province, who is a Chengdu native and an expert on Sichuan cuisine, is showcasing his culinary skills and bringing signature dishes from Sichuan and neighboring Chongqing regions to guests at the Dalian hotel until the end of July.
