Meeting analyzes promoting high-quality Tibetan research

A meeting to analyze the development trend of Tibetan studies and promote the high-quality growth of the research was held in Beijing on Wednesday.
Tibetan academics have been asked to help solve practical problems with correct research direction, with greater efforts in improving international communication and talent education, according to a statement provided the China Tibetology Research Center, the meeting's organizer.
A total of 2,200 new Tibetan words or terms that appeared after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2017 were unveiled during the meeting, while an amended guideline on how to award Tibetan researchers was also introduced to the event's participants, the statement said.
More than 120 Tibetan experts and scholars from more than 80 academies, universities and relevant departments attended the meeting online or offline, it added.
