Wuhan reports one cholera case

A cholera case was recorded in Central China's Wuhan city, according to local health authorities.
The patient from Wuhan University experienced diarrhea, vomiting and low fever, and after treatment, the symptoms disappeared, said the Wuchang District CDC of the city.
The authorities said related places have been locked down and disinfected, and no additional cases have been found.
Cholera is an acute diarrheal illness caused by infection of the intestine with Vibrio cholerae bacteria. People can get sick when they swallow food or water contaminated with cholera bacteria.
