Auto craftsman figures out ways to save money

Li joined FAW after graduation from the group's technician training school in 1989 and has since specialized in automobile mold manufacturing and mastered the skill of making molds that meet extremely high standards — tolerances of less than 0.01 millimeter.

At the beginning, when he joined in the plant, Li worked with a more experienced technician and made notes on everything he learned during the day. After work, he would stay on in the workshop to practice on lathes until midnight.
