The Communist Party of China, founded in 1921, is endowed with its own political, social and cultural characteristics, not least its fortitude.

It has encountered many vicissitudes since then, but has retained the focus on its mission. As the visionary vanguard of the revolutionary process and the basis for arduous commitment, the CPC has galvanized the will of the Chinese people and made them an example of how a determined community can shape its own destiny.

The CPC emerged at a time of internal turmoil and misery in China. Rallying the people to regain the nation's sovereignty and social and cultural cohesion, it guided the country's subsequent economic, social and cultural progress, implementing socialism with Chinese characteristics as an institutional political model.

Bissau-Guineans' first political relations with the CPC took place after the end of World War II when the African national liberation movements against colonial domination began. It was in that historical context that the CPC distinguished itself as one of the most decisive spearheads to support the Bissau-Guinean people in their own struggle for the right to decide their own destiny.

The CPC came to us at that crucial moment in our history as the first political partner to support the training of those who would become the main leaders of our national liberation struggle.

Such generosity and internationalism in favor of the emancipation of a small country and people that were thousands of kilometers away from China are impressive and imbued with humanism.

The CPC always adheres to its principles of solidarity and respect for sovereignty, and it unconditionally places itself at our side, making China Guinea-Bissau's No 1 partner in the construction of infrastructure and the implementation of political measures concerning other achievements in our country. All of this has aroused, in everyone in Guinea-Bissau, immeasurable feelings of eternal gratitude to the CPC and the Chinese people.

Bissau-Guineans, like all who are disadvantaged by the current global economic and financial systems, hope that the CPC will become stronger and more capable of leading the establishment of a new world economic order-a world order characterized by more justice and less poverty and oppression.

It is our shared hope that with its unique historical experience, the CPC can help catapult the bulk of humanity, which is still lost in indigence, subjection and exploitation even today, into the world of progress. This is not utopian idealism, but a hope based on the solid evidence of China's development under the guidance of the CPC, and its constancy in advocating and promoting solidarity and cooperation in favor of a more just, peaceful and developed world.

The CPC's endeavor to rejuvenate China is producing concrete and exciting results. What matters most for the CPC at this stage in China's development is the quality of economic growth and how the fruits of that growth can be more equitably distributed among the people.

In addition, the well-being of the Chinese people can only be conceived within the larger framework of peace and progress for all of humanity. The Belt and Road Initiative and other achievements are powerful examples of this. It is in this context that the CPC, based on friendship and solidarity, has unconditionally contributed to the improvement of living conditions of the people of Guinea-Bissau through the Chinese government.

In this regard, we reiterate our desire to see increased cooperation between the CPC and Guinea-Bissau's political authorities for the benefit of the people of both countries. For Guinea-Bissau, the CPC evokes positive thoughts, feelings and emotions.
