Designer draws inspiration from traditional Chinese painting

On July 2, the final collection from Grace Chen's 2022 Spring/Summer collection, the fourth chapter of the "Lyre, Chess, Calligraphy and Painting • Chinese Elegance" series, was revealed via virtual runway show. The online event was divided into three parts: video screening, designer Q&A and fitting for VIP guests.

From 2021 to 2022, the series, created by Chen, has explored traditional Chinese aesthetics with a modern design. Inspired by Mi Fu's History of Painting written in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), this installment showcased her deep love for Chinese painting.
