Songxi county of Nanping in East China's Fujian province has suffered its largest flood in history.
Serious waterlogging occurred in the urban area of the county. People's Armed Police Force officers were sent to rescue trapped people in the county on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the China National Commission for Disaster Reduction and the Ministry of Emergency Management jointly activated a Level-IV emergency response to floods in Fujian.
China has a four-tier flood-control emergency-response system, with Level I being the most severe.
